Sometimes you just need to be quiet and appreciate the simple experiences of daily life. Moments of sweet peace that bring us little joys in our hearts. Sometimes it’s all too easy to skim past these moments and move on to the next thing, and the next thing. So I’m challenging myself to pay more attention to these little moments this month. Here are some small joys from this past week:
- Making salsa roja
Mashing the veggies up in the molcajete takes some elbow grease, but it’s a great outlet for pent up frustrations. Better to take it out on the salsa!
2. Cozy crochet moments with kitty
I’ve been trying to perfect a simple crochet sock lately. This is attempt number….634? The perfect sock eludes me still.
3. BABY BIRDS IN MY FRONT YARD!!!
4. New book arrived!
Pre-ordered this quite a few months ago and have been waiting patiently! Time to cozy up in a warm blankie with it!
I hope to pay more attention next week and be able to write a longer list, but these are the moments that I truly treasured this week. Stay tuned for more!
